If you set the night lights to the ‘dusk to dawn’ mode, the light will come on and stay on continuously when it is in low light/dark environments. For the motion sensing mode, the light will only turn on when it senses motion [up to 15 feet away] when the light is in a low light/dark setting! Operating only in low light/dark conditions is a design feature meant to conserve battery.
The power failure night lights are designed to begin blinking to alert you to when there has been a power failure and they are now running on the device’s backup battery. This happens during power failure [when the light is still plugged into the outlet and loses power] and when the light is removed from the outlet. To silence the blinking, press the power button once. To turn the light on into motion sensing mode, press the power button a second time and to turn it on to dusk to dawn mode [on continuously in dark environment], press the power button a third time!

To avoid damaging your charging port covers [they will stretch and become unattached if forced into the base], always make sure that they are securely in place before pushing your lantern back into the base.

On the mushroom lights, the stake for the solar panel is inverted into the stem for shipping purposes. To assemble, pull the stake out of the stem, flip it 180 degrees, then insert the stake back into the base of the stem.

The solar charging panel on the misting fan is an added feature that helps to keep the battery topped off while the fan is in use, but solar should not be used as the primary power source for the fan as it would take several days to charge. You should charge your fan via the USB-C port and the cable provided for optimal functionality!
Using the solar charging really does seem to keep the battery pretty full. At least here in Texas. Absolutely one of the best purchases made at Costco....
The battery indicator is a square colored light around the edge of the power button!
